Juan Sierra
Our Global Coffee break team is blessed that Juan Sierra is our Program Manager. He oversees the team that develops DYB materials and the staff that provides the training around the globe. He provides training for church leaders on a regular basis as well as staying in communication with Global Coffee Break leaders. Juan is an ordained pastor at Sunlight Community Church where he helps with discipleship ministries. He lives in Vero Beach, Florida with his wife and two kids. Janis Persenaire
Our Global Coffee Break team is thrilled to introduce our newest Area Representative, Janis Persenaire. Janis will be supporting groups and churches in the Michigan Great Lakes region. She joins us with a depth of Bible study experience and a passion for equipping people to study God’s word. Janis lives with her husband and three children in Holland, Michigan. Her other interests include horseback riding and training as well as visiting her family and friends in Canada. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Janis as she joins us in God’s work. Diane Averill
Our team is incredibly thankful to have Diane Averill as an Area Representative. Diane has been involved with Global Coffee Break for over forty years, as a Bible study facilitator, a trainer, and, currently, a Regional Leader for the East Coast US. She has enthusiasm for sharing God’s gospel to those she meets and equipping others to do the same. She has co-authored several Discover Your Bible books with others, including her husband, Brent, who is a retired Christian Reformed pastor. She and her husband have four married children and enjoy spending time with them and their twelve grandchildren. Teo Han
The Global Coffee Break Team is delighted that Teo is serving as the North American Korean Representative. Teo has been a part of the Global Coffee Break team for 4 years. However, his connection with the ministries of Global Coffee Break began in 2002. Teo was introduced to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ through a Coffee Break group at Irvine Evening center in Irvine, CA. Since that time, he has brought vision, passion and enthusiasm for training and equipping leaders in North America and beyond. Teo’s servant leadership of the ministry to North American Korean leaders is inspiring and heartfelt. Teo and his wife reside in Irvine, California. They are blessed to be parents of 3 young adults. Marian Lensink
Global Coffee Break is especially grateful that Marian Lensink is a part of our team. Marian is the Area Representative for Canada. She has been working with Global Coffee Break and Resonate for 17 years, and has been a Coffee Break leader or director for over 30 years. She continues to lead the Coffee Break group in her own church, and enjoys leading Bible study with those who are exploring the truth of who Jesus is. Marian and her husband, Homer, live in Burlington, ON, where they attend Faith CRC. They have 3 incredible sons, 3 beautiful daughter-in-laws, and 7 awesome grandchildren. Grace Paek
Grace Paek is currently serving as the coordinator for Global Coffee Break, and our team is increasingly blessed to have her. She has been leading small groups for over 40 years, including 26 years in Global Coffee Break ministries. Grace has been actively involved as a trainer, and she has written several books related to small groups. Also, she serves global partners worldwide, raising leaders and supporting translation of materials into many different languages.She also spoke in a weekly Korean Christian Radio Broadcasting segment for many years. JiYoung Song
The Global Coffee Break Team is truly appreciative that JiYoung Song is serving as the Global Coffee Break-Korean ministries Administrative Specialist. JiYoung has been a part of the Global Coffee Break team for 7 years. If you have a question about Global Coffee Break - Korean ministries, JiYoung is the right woman to ask. She is gifted in so many ways. She has an eye for artistic design, a heart for serving others, a talent for communication, and a love for Jesus as her Savior. Gillian Ferwerda
The Global Coffee Break team is unspeakably humbled by the gift of our Content Coordinator, Gillian Ferwerda. In this role, Gillian develops studies, leads writing teams, and coordinates translations. Gillian is a gifted writer and student of the Bible with Master’s degrees in Pastoral Counselling, Adult Education and English as Second Language. Gillian manages projects and cross-cultural writing teams from launch to publication. Her passion for God's word and making the gospel accessible to everyone directs Gillian's pen as she joyfully serves small group leaders and churches.
